She was at Starbucks with her small group for school and she noticed this homeless guy sitting next to them.
After her friends left she felt like God wanted her to go talk to him so she went to her car and got him some cookies, some bread, 4 oranges and 2 apples. She walks up to him and tells him she just wanted to bless him with some extra food she had. He says thank you and they start a conversation.
His name is Josiah and he grew up with an abusive father and just was a broken man. The church had hurt him and he said he wanted nothing to do with religion. The moment he said that she said, "Josiah, do you know you are so loved by your Heavenly Father God?" She started speaking life to him and encouraging him and shared the Gospel of love - God intended to lead us to relationship and not religion.
He broke down crying and said he wanted to know what that was like and he held out his hands. She told him he could have that relationship right now and he said ok. She put her hand on his shoulder and led him in asking God to be his daddy and asking God to show him His love and have a relationship with him.
He just started saying "thank you dad", "thank you daddy"! He opens his eyes and they get really wide! He looks at her with these wide crazy looking eyes and he says, "I CAN SEE!" He is freaking out! She didn't know this but HE WAS BLIND IN ONE EYE and after he prayed and opened his eyes he was no longer physically or spiritually blind!
