Generation Revival Newsletter Update
God has been doing some amazing things at Generation Revival. The hunger and passion for Jesus that each young adult brings into the room each Friday night has been drawing an outpouring of the manifest Presence and Power of the God's blessed Holy Spirit. It is amazing too see everyone's face when the presence of God begins to pour out at Generation Revival meetings. Many are smiling from ear to ear with awe and joy, some just fall on the ground weeping in the presence of God.

Gangster gets touched by the power of God and then saved
One young adult in particular came who had a past with running with gangsters. While in the meeting a couple of Fridays ago, the presence of God came rushing in and he turned to his friend that brought him to the meeting and said, "I have to leave this room." His friend asked, "Why?" And he responded, "Because I feel like I am going to cry." His friend responded, "This is the perfect place to cry, just let God touch you." The ex. gangster broke down weeping on the floor as the power of God rushed in the room. This young man soon after surrendered his life to Christ and is attending one of our discipleship groups. Praise God! Many broken young people come to our meeting who would usually not be found dead in church. But they are told that the presence and power of God shows up in our meetings and they know that they are welcome to come just as they are broken, hurting and it is ok if they don't know much about God when they come. We just want them to come with an expectation that God will meet them where ever they are at.
Young adult blasted by the Power of God
Just last Tuesday at a young adult men's discipleship group we where praying. As we were praying a young man got hit by the power of the Holy Spirit and went flying across the room and almost knocked over a sofa. I asked him what was going on and he said. " I feel amazing!" as he lifted up his hand worshiping God. These kids have no exposure to the charismatic movement. They have no clue what it means to be "Slain in the Spirit." But like Paul on his way to Damascus, God decided to blast this young man who has had a very hard life of drugs and other stuff - with the presence and the power of His Love.... If you have a problem with this, take it up with God, He was the one that touched this young man....
Extravagant worship of Jesus by Higschoolers
Just last week after our 7:00 - 9:00 meeting the passion for worshiping God broke out in the room as a group of highschoolers where leading worship and prayer spontaneously without any prior plans of doing so. They worshiped non stop as they fell more in Love with Jesus with each new spontaneous song they sang. Honestly, It is a great joy to see a generation being filled with the Holy Spirit late on a Friday Night instead of seeing them go and get drunk, have sex and waste their lives away. The bible says in Psalms 16 that, "In God's presence is the Fullness of Joy and at His right hand are ever increasing pleasures!" I know God burns with a zealous passion to see our generation spending their lives at the feet of Jesus rather than waisting their lives away at the party scene! I love watching young people fall more in love with Jesus, He is soooo worth all their worship and adoration!
Angel visits young gal and prevents her from suicide
There is a young gal who started coming to Generation Revival some months ago. When she first came all she would do is stare at the ground with her hood over her head, she could never look me in the eye. Week by week as God continued to work in her life, this young gal started to take her hood off of her head a look at me in the eye. I saw a dramatic transformation in her life, I knew God did something special for her, she started smiling and having a spark in her eye. So one day I asked her what happened, I asked her, "What has made you to want to know Jesus?" She then told me her background of a broken family, broken heart and drug abuse starting from her younger years. She then told me that one day she just made up her mind that she had enough of the pain of life and was going to commit suicide. That same day at her work a person came in and talked to her and read her mail (told her what she was going through), then spoke life and hope into her, and then left. The broken young gal went outside directly after this person had left to thank them and the person vanished and was nowhere to be seen!.... She knew God had sent her an angel and she decided not to kill herself and from that day on her life began to change as she found new hope in Jesus! Praise God, He is moving in these young people!

Teaching on prayer for revival in our generation
It is evident that God is doing an amazing work in this generation. He is alive and He does have a plan to heal the brokenhearted and to see people's lives fully restored by the love and the blood of the cross of Jesus Christ. These are not the days to play games with church and have "bible clubs." Our generation needs the real power and the love of God like Jesus and the apostles preached and lived and gave away to their generation (1 cor 2:4-5). We need to come to the realization that our church programs are failing to reach this generation. Broken youth come into church bound and leave bound. They come in addicted and leave addicted. They come in dead and leave dead, they come in hopeless and leave hopeless..... Beloved, this is not right!, we are doing something seriously wrong here! Church should be the most amazing place to go, it should be like David (the king who had everything he ever wanted) exclaimed in the Psalms 27:4 "One Thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple!" Honestly, Lukwarm Christianity only gets us "One Thing" BORED! This faith is "all or nothing", we need to change our ambitions passions people of God, lets go after God with all our heart, mind, body, soul and strength!
The thing that burns me up inside more than anything is broken kids who go to churches looking for help, but can't find any help, many times they even get kicked out! I am not here to point fingers at any church, rather I love the church! But beloved it is time to change! It is time to FAST AND PRAY AND SEEK GOD'S FACE! It is time to stop playing church and start getting serious about our walk with God! We desperately need the Living God to show up and rescue these young people and the only thing holding God back is us the "body of Christ." Wake up dead sleepy church! Wake Up! God is not mad at you, He is very gracious, but it is time to wake up and arise and shine! (Isa 60)
At Generation Revival, We work with some of the most broken kids one could ever meet. Kids that cut themselves (we have even had kids come up for prayer that have dry blood on their arms from cutting earilier in the day), Kids that are addicted to hard drugs, who have been raped, molested and have had abortions at young ages (some even at age 13). This list goes on and on, they are in a spiritual war and they do not even know it, they are getting eaten alive by the devil and don't even know who the enemy is that is desroying thier lives.. THEY NEED THE REAL GOSPEL OF POWER THAT JESUS AND THE EARLY CHURCH PREACHED - THEY NEED AN ALIVE GOSPEL LIKE THE ONE WE READ ABOUT IN OUR BIBLES. They do not need excuses and doctrines on why God does not move today (because of our traditions, pride, complacency, control and unbelief). Instead, they need leaders and members of the body of Christ to get on our faces and seek God until the power and anointing of God falls on the church to break the yolk of bondage that this generation is in! We need Moses's to arise that will point to the cross of Jesus and say in partnership with God, " DEVIL, LET MY PEOPLE GO!"
GOD IS VERY REAL AND REVIVAL IS NOT A FAIRY TALE (RESERVED FOR TEXT BOOKS AND STORIES ONLY), REVIVAL IS A REALITY THAT WE CAN WALK IN IF WE SEEK GOD WITH ALL OUR HEART, MIND, BODY, SOUL AND STRENGTH! AFTER ALL, JESUS DID NOT DIE ON THE CROSS FOR US TO BE POWERLESS CHRISTIANS THAT GET OUR BUTS KICKED BY THE DEVIL. RATHER HE DIED ON THE CROSS SO THAT THE DEVIL CAN BE CRUSHED UNDER OUR GENERATIONS FEET AND WE CAN BE SEATED WITH CHRIST IN HEAVENLY PLACES! SO WE CAN BE FREE!!!! FREE TO WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH WITH CLEAN HANDS AND A PURE HEART! FREE TO WORSHIP OUR BLESSED CREATOR, REDEEMER AND HEALER AND RESTORER!
This is why this week Friday (Jan 23) young adults from all over will be joining us and will be fasting all day and then at night will be coming together for a young adult all night "Harp and Bowl Style" prayer meeting to press into God for a break through for our wounded generation. There will be two main prayer focuses for our meeting:
1). We are praying for a fresh first love fire for Jesus. (personal revival)
2). We are praying for a breakthrough of an abiding revival in our broken generation (corporate revival)
The prayer meeting will start directly after our 7:00pm - 9:00pm meeting and will go until 2:00 am. In Difficult times like now The bible calls us to 2 Chron 7:14
1). Humble ourselves (the biblical way of doing this is fasting)
2). Seek God's face
3). Forsake our wicked ways (repentance)
4. AND PRAY!
God promises that He will hear from heaven and HEAL AND RESTORE OUR LAND!
Also in perilous times God calls us to Joel 2:12-14
"Even now," declares the LORD,
"return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning."
13 Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the LORD your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.
14 Who knows? He may turn and have pity
and leave behind a blessing—
Here are some scriptures on all night prayer:
Psalms 63:6 "When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches."
Isaiah 26:8, 9 "With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early ..."
Luke 6:12 "... and continued all night in prayer to God."

Beloved, yes these are hard times for our generation, but the dark times are the very best times to be serving and shining for God. These are the most amazing times because it is when men and women of God arise and stand as champions for the living God to destroy the works of the devil. Overall, God is not angry at us, but rather He beckons us to a higher place with Him. He is calling us to get rid of doing business as usual in the church and to get back to making His house a House of Prayer (Mark 11:17). It is impossible to have a move of God without prayer and it is impossible to accelerate in our walk with God without intimacy with God. So lets press in together this Friday and to come in alignment with God so we can be used to revolutionize our world for Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!
